Vinicius Jr Offers Apology to Real Madrid Supporters
The forward has registered five goals in ten domestic competition matches this season.
The Madrid giants winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his conduct when substituted in the recent fiery Clasico clash win.
Vinicius was substituted in the second half and expressed his frustration by heading directly to the dressing room.
He later returned to the bench and, after his team's narrow triumph, attempted to approach Barça's youngster Yamal during unsavoury final whistle scenes.
"Today I want to apologise to all the Real Madrid fans for my reaction when I was taken off in the big match," Vinicius shared on his account.
"Just as I have said in person during this morning's session, I would like to express regret anew to my teammates, the team, and the leadership.
"At times emotion takes over me because I continuously aim to triumph and support my side. My winning mentality comes from the affection I feel for this club and all it symbolizes."
The player joined Real from his former club in 2018 for a significant fee and has scored triple figures in numerous matches.
But his prospects in the Spanish capital is uncertain with reports in recent months suggesting that the club would think about permitting the young star leave if they were to receive a suitable offer.
When Vinicius was replaced on Sunday, cameras from coverage provider the platform recorded him stating: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's better if I leave, I'm moving on."
In his most recent statement on X, Vinicius stated: "I vow to keep fighting every second for the good of the club, as I have performed since the very beginning."
