Two Men Charged for Inmate Homicide of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences including the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
