Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
An aircraft soaring near a popular southern California coastline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Videos uploaded online depict the aircraft beginning to twirl near the beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palms and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Information
Local firefighters reported five persons were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the road were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
